The Carving of Vegetables
Happy Halloween to all! So, the other night, in the anticipation for Halloween, my best bud Talena and I decided to continue a tradition of ours and go to our local grocery store to see what vegetables would be fun to carve. Why stop at pumpkins, I ask you, when there are so many other veggies just waiting to be hollowed out and put on display? The strange part this tradition of ours is that we have never actually carried it out together. We have always lived in different cities, so when Halloween rolls around one of us will carve various vegetables, thinking we are funny and then tell the other one about it. But not this year! Anyway, here are some pictures, of course.
The chosen vegetables to be part of our carving fun.
Me and Talena
The hollowing of the eggplant was a bit of a difficult task.
Vegetable guts, kind of gross, except for the avocado's. That was delicious on chips afterwards.
Our heads match...
Our little creations! We were so proud of the finished product.
This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine...(except for the avocado). Yeah, I really sang that while we were lighting the vegetables.
