I then met up with my old friend Aaron, who just so happened to have an extra ticket to the BYU-TCU football game, a high commodity in these parts. I was so excited to go, since I haven’t been to a BYU football game yet and it has been causing me to go through withdrawals.
It was a perfect fall evening, cool and clear in a stadium full screaming fans dressed in dark blue. The smell of churros and popcorn linger in the air and the band playing the “Star Wars” theme song with everyone doing that annoying cheer which I refuse to do. Oh Lavell Edwards stadium, how I've missed you. However, then something oh so very sad occurred, BYU football did this...
Broke my heart, in case you were wondering. My dear Cougar football, was it too much to ask you to beat the #8 ranked team just for me? This was most likely the only game I’ll be able to attend this year, I had such high hopes in your abilities. But it was not so, 7 to 38, ouch. Have you been feeling neglected? Just because I moved to U country, doesn’t mean my feelings have changed for you. I still bleed blue. Sigh. I hope we both can put this behind us and the next time I enter Lavell Edwards Stadium, I plan on cheering you on to victory like so many other times in the past. Love, me
